A discussion of how open source software projects are managed, through the lens of an eventually-popular open source software project.
This keynote will explore how the needs of an open source software project changes as it grows. The talk will focus on the choices that open source project maintainers must make and the things they need to do to maintain the project and foster a healthy community.
You will come away with a better understanding and appreciation of the effort that goes into building and maintaining an open source software project and, perhaps more importantly, the community around it.

Pradyun Gedam is a contributor to many foundational projects in the Python ecosystem.
He is a maintainer of many Python packaging tools (including pip, Flit, packaging and installer), many pieces of Sphinx's ecosystem (including Furo, sphinx-autobuild, sphinx-theme-builder and sphinx-themes.org) and the TOML language specification. He is also a CPython triager, a PyPI moderator, a member of the Python Packaging Authority, a member of the Executable Books project, and a PSF Fellow.
