Daniel Roy Greenfeld

Daniel Roy Greenfeld is a senior software engineer with over 25 years professional experience. He began his Python and Django journey working with NASA. He has created/co-created/maintained open source projects such as Cookiecutter, django-crispy-forms, Cookiecutter Django, Django Packages, cached-property, and lots more. A passionate writer, most of his public works can be found at https://daniel.feldroy.com and he is a co-author of the venerable Two Scoops of Django series of books.

Daniel is husband to Audrey Roy Greenfeld, creator of the Cookiecutter project/ecosystem, co-author of Two Scoops of Django, and one of the original founders of PyLadies. Together Daniel and Audrey raised their daughter in Los Angeles, California, USA.

As a father and a human Daniel is very passionate about using his skills and talents to address climate change, hence why he works for Octopus Energy as Director of US Engineering.
